Litigation Associate Attorney

We are seeking an enthusiastic and independent civil litigation attorney to join our team. This role focuses on general litigation matters, including contract disputes, business conflicts, real estate litigation, fraud cases, and estate-related litigation. Unlike many firms, we offer a manageable 1,400-hour billable requirement to ensure our attorneys can thrive both professionally and personally. This position provides the opportunity to work on assignments from partners while also managing cases independently, giving you the ability to develop litigation strategies, interact with clients, and take ownership of a matter from beginning to end. Responsibilities
  • Drafting pleadings, briefs and motions;
  • Performing and attending depositions;
  • Preparing, producing and reviewing discovery demands;
  • Preparing and delivering oral argument;
  • Develop case strategy;
  • Attending trial, hearings, arbitration and mediation;
  • Client Communication.
Requirements
  • JD Degree and admitted in NJ;
  • Civil Clerkship;
  • 4+ years of litigation experience;
  • Ability and experience independently managing a civil litigation matter from consultation to resolution;
  • Excellent client communication skills with a strong sense of empathy for client situations;
  • Ability to manage client expectations;
  • A positive attitude and independence to manage their own day.
Bonus Experience (Not Required)
  • Estates and Trusts litigation experience
  • Business and Contract disputes/ litigation experience
